Pre-teens and Teens (12y-19y) can find difficulties with transitioning from childhood to young adulthood. This stage can also be difficult for caregivers and overwhelming for all involved. At this stage in their life, adolescence/teens hormones are raging which can cause them to experience physical and psychological changes that may heighten their sense of aggression, anger, depression, sexual arousal and or sexual identity. They can also face peer pressure with substance abuse, bullying, social life and appearance. Teens have the desire of independence but continue to need the guidance to process their feelings.
Adolescent/Teen Counseling can help them process their journey into adulthood. It will give them the space to speak freely about feelings of their self-worth and making an imprint on their lives. Counseling will also help facility a bridge with caregivers and adolescent/teen to promote growth and healing within their relationship.
